So you want to be a ghost hunter (Paranormal investigator)?

/ Start by read books, or resources on the internet. Research all you can about ghosts and the paranormal. Try to get a good idea about these phenomena and how ghost hunters go about investigating them.

/ Find like minded people or friends who have the same interest. Why not start your own group, look for people who investigate the paranormal in your local community. Join a local ghost hunting group. The best way to become a ghost hunter is to just get out there and do it

/ It helps to take classes associated with the paranormal. Like parapsychology or physics. While formal training isn't required to become a ghost hunter, the information that can be learned from an organized class with a knowledgeable instructor is invaluable

/ Buy some ghost hunting equipment. You can start out with just an Audio recorder for EVP (Electronic voice phenomena) and a camcorder with infrared or night vision. If you don't have these already, invest in a digital camera, notebook, pens, a tape recorder and a flashlight. As you gain knowledge and experience, you may also want to consider purchasing an EMF meter commonly used by ghost hunters to detect disturbances in electromagnetic fields. Experiment with your equipment in a local environment before venturing further afield to do your research.

/ Start ghost hunting. Research local sites that are rumored to be haunted or where ghostly activity has been witnessed or recorded. Use the techniques you learn from fellow ghost hunters or from your own studies Be careful where you go to do your investigations though. You don't want to be charged by the police for trespassing on private property.

/ Take notes of witness claims and thoroughly review your evidence. Try to find logical solutions for them before considering they may be paranormal activity. Be sure to record your findings for the benefit of other ghost hunters, and always be objective with your findings.

/ There is an abundance of paranormal related resources available on the internet. This can aid you in how to develop better skills and techniques on how to investigate paranormal activity.

/ Good luck!
